The Mumbai High Court has temporarily blocked the release of the movie Bhool Chuk Maaf on the OTT platform before completing the 8-week theatre broadcast agreed with PVR Inox.

After PVR Inox went to court, the order opposed the Maddock movie’s sudden decision to skip the dramatic release and played the movie directly on May 16th in Amazon Prime videos. Maddock Films made the announcement just the day before the theaters were released, the announcement was supposed to be the day before its release on Cinemas on May 9.

PVR Inox believes that the move breaks the agreement they signed with Maddock Movies on May 6, 2025. The contract clearly states that the film must be released in theaters for at least eight weeks before it can be released online. Directed by Karan Sharma, Bhool Chuk Maaf starred Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in their first film. The next court hearing is scheduled to be held on June 16.

The news of the movie’s postponed was starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, the second day after the Indian Air Force targeted the ruins of terrorists without crossing Pakistani airspace. Maddock movies went on Instagram on Thursday to announce the news.

In view of the recent events and the intensification of security drills nationwide, we decided to bring our home artist Bhool Chuk Maaf directly to your home in Maddock Movies and Amazon MGM Studios and will be in Prime Video worldwide on May 16.

The film talks about “Bhool Chuk Maaf” directed by Karan Sharma, which revolves around Ranjan, a romantic boy in Banaras, who gets the government job from Banaras to marry Titli, but forgets his vows to Lord Shiva and can only be trapped until he fulfills his promise. A lively story of love, destiny and redemption.
