Bhu Bharati India’s model: Ponguleti

Karimnagar: Tax Secretary Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the Congressional government has introduced a new Bhu Bharati (Land Rights Record) bill after studying the land laws in about 18 states nationwide and taking into account relevant facts and ground reality, which will be a role model for the country.
The minister, accompanied by the Government Chief Whip and Dharmapuri Mla Adluri Laxman Kumar, Jagtial MLA S. Sanjay Kumar, regional collectors B. Satya Prasad and Sp Ashok Kumar, attended the Revenue Review meeting on Saturday at Buggaram Mandal in the Jagtial area. Manda was chosen for the pilot phase of the bill’s implementation.
Speaking at the party, Srinivas Reddy said that the bhu bharati Act was drafted under the direction of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, which consulted the instructions of tens of millions of citizens and experts to ensure justice of the long-standing land disputes resolved for poverty. He criticized the former BRS government, saying former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao launched the Dharani portal without sufficient consultation, which caused widespread difficulties for farmers and landowners.
The Minister noted that the revenue meeting, which was conducted as part of the pilot project, had received nearly 13,000 land-related applications. He said the government was actively addressing them at the earliest.
He explained: “To improve service delivery, the government is dispersing functions at the Tahildar level to the Chief Land Management Commissioner (CCLA). Citizens will now have the right to call for a resolution under the provisions of the Bhu Bharati Act.”
Each Mandal will allocate between 10 and 15 surveyors to speed up the settlement of land disputes. Starting from June 2, the government will further strengthen the income system by appointing new income personnel for all 10,956 income villages across the state. The minister added that clear and latest land transaction records are expected to be prepared by December 31.
Srinivas Reddy said in the Indiramma housing program that statewide beneficiaries will be completed by the end of this month. After that, allocating the house to qualified poor will begin and last for five years to ensure that every poor has a home.
