Bihar Govt named Gaya City “Gaya Jee”

Patna: A Bihar government on Friday approved a proposal to rename the city of Gaia to “Gay Ji”, an official said.
The decision was made at a national cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
In addition, Chief Secretary (Caremonial Secretariat) Siddharth said the decision was made due to the historicity and religious importance of the city.
The Cabinet also approved the establishment of the Bihar Jeevika Fund Credit Cooperation Association Co., Ltd., which paved the way for the establishment of the “Jeevika Bank” from which loans can be obtained.
The Cabinet also paid tribute to the health department’s proposals, establishing the Bihar Cancer Care and Research Association to prevent and treat cancer.
He added that the cabinet decided to celebrate January 5, the birth anniversary of former CM Sushil Kumar Modi, with national functions every year.
