Elon Musk now officially owns a “city” in Texas and named it Starbase. The city used to be SpaceX's Texas launch site. SpaceX began purchasing land in the area in 2012, and SpaceX employees began living in the area. On Saturday, May 3, residents continued to vote in elections formally approved the inclusion of the area into the new municipality. Of the 177 votes, 173 votes voted, and only 4 votes opposed.

About the constellation
The new city covers an area of about 1.6 square miles (3.9 square kilometers), with most residents being SpaceX employees, owning housing facilities and a rocket plant.
The cities near Boca Chica will have their own government. The mayor and two commissioners will be governed on “specific regions” and local issues. Bobby Peden has appointed Ben as the first mayor, and he is also SpaceX vice president. Two commissioners should still be appointed.
Once the population is sparse, Starbase will be a C-type city – there are about 500 people nearby, including 260 SpaceX employees and their families. Other workers will live in the nearby city of Brownsville.
Billionaire and owner of multiple businesses, Elon Musk moved his headquarters to Texas due to more “favorable” regulations. Musk aims to transform the space industry, with SpaceX affiliated with government and tax regulations, SpaceX aims to increase the number of plans to launch its own Starship.
However, this shift is severely criticized and fined for contamination by environmentally friendly groups, disruption to wildlife and increased waste of water.
