JAC Plan “Telangana March” seeks rollback of WAQF amendment on March 26, urging public participation

The All-Party Joint Action Committee, an association of individuals and members of political and non-political organizations, encouraged the public to participate in the planned protests on Sunday.

The march (called Telangana March) seeks a full rollback of WAQF legislation and is scheduled to reach its final form on April 26 in Dharna Chowk’s public broadcast.

A spokesman for JAC core committee members, including Mushtaq Mallik and Amjed Ullah Khan, Majlis Bachao Tehreek, stressed that the protest march was completely peaceful. “We hope and have confidence that people will arrive in large quantities,” Khan said, adding that people who arrive in Hyderabad from other regions will spread the message.

Meanwhile, JAC convener Mr. Mallik urged the public to violate the “black law” peacefully. He insisted that the demonstrations were not political, but rather protected mosques, cemeteries and Muslim identities.
