BJP leaders visit Appu Ghar’s sewage treatment plant in Visakhapatnam

A delegation from BJP leaders on Thursday investigated Appu Ghar’s sewage treatment plant after locals did not work.

BJP Visakhapatnam Regional Former President Ravindra Medapati and current Regional President MMN Parusurama Raju and party leaders visited the factory. Speaking at the factory site, Ravindra said they had visited the factory after locals complained about the local odor being emitted. “The negligence of the last government caused the function of the filtering machine and the contaminated water to enter the sea directly, which would also cause harm to aquatic life,” he said.

The NDA government handed over the factory to a private company, and its officials assured the BJP delegation that the machinery would be modernized and function within two to three months. The company representative told the BJP delegation that the machinery would be used for its optimal level and the muddy water would be treated and released into the sea.
