Kerala doctor dies after trekking in Anamalai Tiger Reserve

A doctor from Kerala died of suspected dehydration and other complications after completing a trek at Anamalai Tiger Reserve (ATR) in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Ajazar Sein, a native of Tiruvanataplam.
ATR authorities said Sain and his friend Fadil Thayyib Raj glided along the top to hike – Pandaravarai – Karian Shola – Top Slip Stretch. Both are accompanied by two experienced guides from ATR.
“The guide asked Sein to continue the trek after he noticed signs of fatigue. He told them he was a doctor and he was adequate for continuing. The duo completed the hike and at 4.30 pm Sain wanted to sit for a while and suddenly sat down, and suddenly his condition worsened.”
According to the ATR authorities, Sain fell ill after completing the trek and was taken to the government hospital in Vettaikaranpudur, where he died.
ATR authorities added that Sain's family had been informed of the incident. The family filed a complaint with the Anamalay police. The autopsy will be held on Monday.
