Mayor Balari urges women to regularly screen for cervical cancer

Balari Mayor Mullangi Nandish expressed concerns about the increase in cervical cancer in women and called on women to be screened for the disease.

He spoke at a free health check bootcamp organized by female citizen staff at the football field in Ballari on March 25, 2025. BallariCity Corporation organized the camp in partnership with Biocipher Labs, Sanjeevini Hospital, Nava Karnataka Nursing Home and Siri Siri Diagnostic Laboratory.

“The Health Check Boot Camp is organized for our women, Pourakarmikas. Registration, consultation and all other services are completely free in the camp. Women, especially those in the economically weaker segment, should use such camps where experienced medical professionals can screen them. Case of cervical cancer can be screened for these days and this should not be ignored in these days.

Resource staffer Dr. Shankar shows from his own experience that cervical and breast cancer can lead to death.

“Women between the ages of 10 and 45 must screen for these diseases. If the disease is diagnosed at an early stage, it can be cured. The coalition government has allocated special grants for the treatment of cervical and breast cancer and should be exploited.”
