Hydraa seeks CSR funding to restore water bodies

Hyderabad: Hydraa urges businesses to donate from their corporate social responsibility funds to restore the city’s water bodies. According to Hydraa, there are 1,025 tanks within the outer ring, 61% of which are untrackable. The agency aims to save the remaining 39%.
Hydraa Commissioner Av Ranganath stressed the urgency of protecting these water bodies at a meeting with 72 company representatives on Wednesday. “Everyone should realize that if the lake is not protected, the ecological balance will be damaged and the survival of future generations will be damaged.”
Ranganath called for efforts to remove silt from the body of water, transfer the canal to prevent sewage pollution, and build freshwater ponds by installing the sewage treatment plant. He added: “Hydraa is working to improve the reputation of various institutions by developing these ponds.”
The agency is actively developing key water bodies, including Sunnam Cheruvu in Madhapur, Tammidikunta, Nalla Cheruvu in Kukatpally, Nalla Cheruvu in Uppal and Bathukamma Kunta in Amberpet.
