Boy dies after Machavaram falls into loss

A boy, known as M. Manikanta (7), died after pouring water and being washed away in the YSR colony in the Machavaram area on Sunday (May 4, 2025).

Due to heavy rains in Vijayawada and neighboring areas, many roads were flooded and low-lying areas were flooded. The boy reportedly fell. The local resident and the boy's mother noticed Manikanta in the run-off pipe and moved him to the hospital, and the doctor declared him “death”.
