IPL franchise Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) approved the Delhi High Court on Thursday, accusing Uber Moto of degrading YouTube ads from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Australian player Travis Head.
The Supreme Court retained the verdict seeking an interim injunction on the RCB’s request.
The so-called derogatory ad is titled “The Bad Guy in Ft Travis Head, Bangalore”. In the 0.59-second video, the head is seen heading to the Bangalore Stadium, where he used a spray to change the elasticity. He edited the name of the Bangalore side as “Royal Challenge” Bangalore.
Advertising videos currently have 1.3 million views on YouTube.
Advocates representing RCB claim Head disparaged the trademark of the IPL series in the video.
