British academic Nitasha Kaul said on Monday (May 19, 2025) that the Indian government has been indulging in “anti-Indian activities” through “OCIs” who are addicted to “anti-Indian activities” in “Writing, Speech and News” events on various international forums and social media platforms.
She said she will seek legal remedies and will challenge the cancellation in court.

Ms. Kaur said she informed her by notification that the reply she sent last year was not satisfactory.
OCI is of Indian origin but holds a foreign passport. India does not allow dual citizenship, but rather provides certain benefits to OCI under Section 7b(i) of the Citizenship Act 1955.
As of January 31, 2022, an OCI registration card of Rs 406.8 billion has been issued.
