Despite the heavy rain

Warangal: Strong rains and strong winds that struck Karshwaram from late Friday night to early Saturday morning caused extensive damage to the arrangements of devotees on the third day of Saraswati Pushkaralu at Mahadevpur Mandal in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally area.

The temporary sheds, tents and pan racks erected for the incident were flattened or blown away. Welcome arches and bent plates also collapsed, some falling on the road, causing traffic congestion. Chaotic muddy and slippery conditions.

Officials from various departments responded quickly, carrying out repairs and removing debris to restore access. They reused the sheds and tents to minimize inconvenience to pilgrims. Despite the rain, many devotees arrived at Kaleshwaram, radiating holiness at Triveni Sangamam and praying to the goddess Saraswati Devi and Sri Mukteshwara Swamy.

The heavy haste caused traffic jams to extend to five kilometers between Mahadevpur and Kaleshwaram. Regional collector Rahul Sharma and police principal Kiran Khare arrived in the area by motorcycle and personally monitored efforts to ease congestion.

Deputy Chief Minister Malu Bhatti Vikramarka visited Kaleshwaram and gave special prayers accompanied by his brother Malu Prasad. He also provided the Pinda Pradhanam to his ancestors on this occasion.

Minister of Agriculture Tummala Nageshwar Rao radiated a sacred dip in the Saraswati River and offered prayers. He said this was Pushkaralu organized by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy under the leadership of the newly formed Congressional government. He affirmed the government’s commitment to organizing future events, including Sammakka-Saralamma Jatara and the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu, even more ambitious.

The Minister praised the dedication and careful arrangements of IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and the regional government to ensure the smooth behavior of Saraswati Pushkaralu.
