Since April, the industry output data has been released every month on April 28.

The Ministry of Statistics and Planning Implementation (MOSPI) said Thursday it will release the Industrial Production Index (IIP) index within 28 days instead of 42 days.
“From April 2025, all Indian Industrial Production Index (IIP) will be released every 28 days of the reference month at 4:00 pm on the 28th of the reference month. For specific months, the IIP will be used as a quick estimate, followed by a final estimate,” MOSPI said in a press release.
The ministry added: “After proper consultation with the source agency and aligning with the desires of stakeholders, it has been decided to reduce the timeline for IIP release from 42 to 28 days from the reference month to 28 days and also release it after the second revision of IIP.”
