BSNL competed fiercely for Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio (Sunil Mittal’s Airtel), using… to launch SIM cards to home delivery.

BSNL’s move is to expand its 4G network and prepare to launch 5G services next year.

To shake the Indian telecom market move, state-run BSNL has launched a new service that allows customers to book SIM cards online and ship them to their doorstep within 90 minutes. BSNL’s goal is to compete with private giants Reliance Jio and Airtel, and this step is emerging.

Airtel is India’s second largest telecom provider and has already provided fast SIM cards through a partnership with Blinkit, which can be offered in just 10 minutes in 16 major cities. Now, BSNL is entering the competition with a similar door-to-door delivery service as it pushes to attract more users.

It’s easy to book a BSNL 5G SIM card online. Customers need to visit https://prune.co.in, click the “Purchase SIM Card” option, and select BSNL as the operator. After selecting the first Recharge Coupon (FRC) plan and entering personal details, the SIM card will be delivered and activated within 90 minutes of KYC verification.

BSNL’s move is to expand its 4G network and prepare to launch 5G services next year. BSNL has won many new users since July last year when private telecom companies such as Jio and Airtel have increased their mobile tariffs, looking for more affordable options.

BSNL said in a statement last year that its 5G launch is developing rapidly and can almost launch. The company also stressed that its 5G development focuses on self-reliance and supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” mission.

With this new DoorStep delivery service, BSNL has clearly challenged Jio and Airtel’s dominance by modernizing its services and gaining a larger telecom market share.
