A 58-year-old businessman was killed and his wife was injured when a car traveling near Sadarahalli Signal Wednesday morning.
MN Kumar Babu, the deceased, is a resident of Jakkur, who is heading to Devanahalli with his family to enjoy the newly purchased property. While his son was in front, he sat in the back seat of the car with his wife Varalakshmi.
When a speeding vehicle loses control and falls into it, the car has stopped on the signal, waiting for it to turn green. The car further hit six more cars and stopped.
The other crew members of the vehicle escaped minor injuries, while Kumar Babu was seriously injured. The couple was taken to the hospital and Kumar was pronounced dead. Varalakshmi is undergoing treatment and is said to be at risk.
