DK Shivakumar says

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said on Sunday that the government is committed to punishing those involved in the incident, and students allegedly taking the General Entrance Examination (CET) were forced to remove their “Janivara” or “Sacred Thread”.

DK’s job opportunities
The Deputy Chief Minister said he and HK Patil, Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, will visit Dakshina Kannada next month to discuss matters related to creating more job opportunities for coastal people. He said the government will develop a plan for job creation.
