Delhi government raises minimum wage for skilled and unskilled workers

The Delhi government announced on Tuesday (15 April 2025) that workers’ minimum wages have increased in all categories. The revised wage rate applies to April 1, 2025.

Under the revised workers’ wages, the monthly wages for nonskilled workers are now Rs 18,456, while those with graduation and above will receive Rs 24,356 per month.

According to the Delhi government, the increase is taking into account inflation, which will provide economic relief to workers.

Earlier today, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta spoke about parents’ concerns about so-called harassment in some schools. Speech Ani, Ms. Gupta said: “Parents from various schools have been meeting with me to share their dissatisfaction. No school has the right to harass parents or children, threaten evictions or arbitrarily increase costs. There are strict rules and laws, and compliance is mandatory.”
