By focusing on food, drinking, sleep, regular exercise: Amit Shah, health status turnaround

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that he achieved his health and work ability by ensuring proper sleep, focusing on his food and water intake and regular exercise over the past few years. Speaking at the Institute for Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILB) event, Shah urged young people to follow two hours of physical exercise and six hours of sleep therapy to ensure good health.

“I’ve made a lot of changes since May 2019 until now. I’ve achieved a lot with a proper amount of sleep, pure water, food and exercise. I’ve gotten rid of all the homeopathic drugs in the past 4.5 years,” he said.

Shah this helps him with his ability to work, think and make decisions.
The minister opened an integrated liver rehabilitation center in ILBS and visited the Institute’s cartoon gallery organized around the theme of liver health.

“I love comics, including cartoons based on me,” Shah said, praising ILBS director Dr. S Sareen for other initiatives from the gallery and the institute to raise awareness about liver health.


The Home Minister urged the company’s housing to publicize the importance of liver health and support institutes working in the areas of liver treatment and research. He said the Modi government’s plans, such as Ujjwala Yojna, Khelo India, Fit India and other plans regarding drinking water and toilets, are directly related to people’s health. Shah said the government’s health budget has now grown to Rs 1.27 crore in 2014.

He said the central government is committed to establishing a holistic healthcare system in the country under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
