Union Home Minister Amit Shah will meet with the chief minister of the Northeast State on Sunday (16 March 2025) to examine the implementation of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) which replaces Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the region.
Mr. Shah spent Saturday evening in Mizoram (15 March 2025) where he participated in the Assam rifle program.

He will start his day with a visit to Kokrajhar, which is planned for the 57th annual meeting held by All Bodo Student Unions (ABSU).
ABSU is the signator of the historic Bodo Peace agreement signed five years ago.
Mr. Shah will arrive in Guwahati in the afternoon to chair the meeting with CMS in Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Nagaran and Sikkim. It is not yet known who will represent Manipur at the meeting with the state, as the president was ruled by the president after CM N. Biren Singh resigned last month.

They said that so far, every state will present progress on progress in BNS implementation at conferences.
Mr Shah will travel to New Delhi that night to end his trip to the area.
He arrived in Assam on Friday (14 March 2025) and on Saturday (15 March 2025) at his upgraded Lachit Barphukan Police Academy in Golaghat before flying to Mizoram.
