Citizens plan to hold candlelight protests at Friday’s venue as the 40s cuts on Hyder Ali Road late Saturday night to continue to spark anger.
The militants will hold a silent protest at a place where trees are cut down, worn through black belts, light candles and salute 40 trees cut down.
The activists and citizens who gathered under the banner of Parisara Ulivigagi Kriya Samithi or Save Environmental Action Committee told reporters here on Wednesday that the trees provided oxygen to the people in Mysuru, and in addition to providing green cover for cool Shade City, numerous birds, insects, raised animals, are green covers.
Militants, including Kamal Gopinath of Pucl Mysuru, Parashuramegowda of Parisara Balaga, and others said that holding candlelight vigils and protests will not only send a strong message to the authorities, but will also send a strong message to the authorities against their heinous behavior, but also trigger the conscience of such citizens to keep them at the same time as my actions to prevent my green cover and to remain stable in my green, especially in my green range, and so especially in my green range.
“We have proposed a continuous action for several months to assist with this vigil,” the activist said.
Committee members questioned the forest sector’s justification for trees being cut down to widen the road and wondered if such a project was necessary.
Activists point out that traffic density in the region cannot justify such extreme measures and therefore question why transplants are not considered. They also highlight previous instances, such as the successful implementation of tree protection at ATI Road near Lalith Mahal.
Ironically, a state-level umbrella organization was formed in Bengaluru – a milestone in the environmental movement, but within a few hours it turned into a nightmare for the Mysolu Green Crusader, which was launched in Bengaluru for several hours.
“The trees were cut down without public notice, environmental assessment or transparency, and this meaningless act of destruction appeared at a time marked by an increase in global temperature and ecological instability.” The committee members said that the deforestation of voice-over trees was not only a failure of the plan, but also a lack of empathy and imagination.
