Car driver’s death: Former school bus driver arrested

On Monday (April 14), police arrested Abhishek Shetty, 25, a former school bus driver from Surathkal, allegedly murdered Mohammed Shareef, 59, a driving driver in Mangaluruuluruuluru on 59. Shareef’s body was found in a well in Kunjathur on April 10.
According to police, the motive was a confrontation in Mangaluru’s transportation hub, where Shetty and Shareef allegedly clashed on the right of way. According to reports, Shetty issued a statement to police that he believes a group of car drivers allegedly led by Shareef began deliberately blocking his bus. “He also claimed that Shareef had filed a complaint about his rash driving, which led to him being fired from the school,” a police officer said.
After that, Shetty reportedly hired Shareef’s car on the evening of April 9 and allegedly directed him to a secluded location in Kunjathur, 36 kilometers away. There, he reportedly stabbed Shareef in the neck before pouring the body into the well.
Police say Shetty, who has a history of drug-related crimes, is likely to be affected by narcotics when suspected of murder. He was tracked after investigators scanned videos of 280 CCTV cameras.
It is reported that weapons used for crime have not been restored.
