CBSE Board Results 10, 12 May Next Week; No official date yet; What we know so far

The Secondary and Secondary Education Commission has confirmed that results for Level 10 and Level 12 will not be released today on May 2. This is in several media reports and social media posts claiming the results will be announced on Friday.“The result has not been released today, maybe not until this weekend,” a senior CBSE official said anonymously.
As of now, the board of directors has not issued a formal statement or date. The official clarified that students should not rely on circular reports or speculative schedules.

4.4 million students are still waiting

This year, an astonishing 4.4 million students took the CBSE Board of Directors exams. Among them, more than 2.4 million people participated in the Level 10, while 17.8888888 million SATs took the Level 12 exam. The exam is conducted between February 15 and April 4, 2025.

The importance of these results cannot be exaggerated. For 12th grade students, these scores determine eligibility for college entrance and competitive entrance exams. For Level 10 students, scores will determine their stream choices – a fork that is crucial in their academic process.

Social media buzz, but no confirmed date

Despite no official updates, hashtags like #CBSE2025 and #CBSERESULT have been trending on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), reflecting widespread expectations. Last year, CBSE announced the results on May 13, 2024. By that schedule, the results may still be more than a week. CBSE also urges students to trust only the official sources of the board.

Where to check CBSE results

Once announced, students will be able to access their results through multiple platforms. These include:

  • cbse.gov.in
  • cbseresults.nic.in
  • results.cbse.nic.in
  • results.digilocker.gov.in
  • umang.gov.in

Students will need their volume number, date of birth and admission card details to log in. The results will be obtained as a temporary digital scorecard, and the original marking table was later distributed through the school.

For SMS access, students can send “CBSE10” or “CBSE12” and then send their volume number, school code and center number to 7738299899.

How to access your CBSE results

Here is a step-by-step guide:

  • Visit any of the above CBSE results portals.
  • Click the corresponding link for “CBSE 10th Result 2025” or “CBSE 12th Result 2025”.
  • Enter your volume number, date of birth and safety regulations.

CBSE pass percentage

Students must score at least 33% in each subject to pass the board exam.

Since the 2022-23 academic year, the board has also stopped releasing performance lists, aiming to reduce unhealthy competition among students. However, CBSE will continue to publish overall and gender pass percentages.

In 2024, the total pass percentage for Level 10 is 93.60%, while for Level 12 it is 87.98%. These figures reflect moderate improvements in the previous year.

Based on recent trends, education experts expect similar or slightly higher pass rates this year. Many people expect the best performing students to achieve perfect results.

As students across the country update pages and browse trending hashtags, CBSE has a clear message: Wait for official words. Misinformation only adds stress to millions of high-risk moments.

Until then, students, parents and teachers are advised to be patient – avoid guessing.
