Central Asian Volleyball Championships moved from Pakistan to Uzbekistan after India withdraws troops

Pakistan Federation officials said on Saturday that the Central Asian Volleyball Championship withdrew from India has been transferred from Islamabad to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, after the terrorist attack in Pahargam. Senior officials from the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) said the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) has decided to transfer the event to Uzbekistan. “Even if India withdraws India, it's a disappointment for Pakistani volleyball. But we fully understand the Kavas' overall decision.”

Tensions between the two neighboring countries grew after the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam on April 22, where 26 civilians, mainly tourists, were killed.
“Indian volleyball officials have informed the regional agencies that their government has canceled the NOC issued to them after the incident occurred in the Pahalgam incident,” Ahad said.
