Chairman Naidu said TTD will ensure “justice” for all non-Indian employees.

Tirupati, April 19: TTD Chairman Br Naidu said on Saturday that the temple’s bodies would ensure justice for all non-Indian employees, stressing that Hindu does not require them to be fired overnight.

The chairman said it would explore more than 200 such employees and said it would explore options such as assigning them to non-fenced roles or offering voluntary retirement plans (VRS). “We will also ensure their justice (non-Indian employees). This is not the TTD intends to send them home overnight. Hindu does not require such action. So we will follow the rules,” Naidu told the PTI video.

According to the Chairman, 48 non-Indian employees have been identified in the first phase. Each of them consults individually to determine their preferences – whether to reassign to a non-focus role or choose VRS. He said in a separate press conference that identifying non-Indian employees can sometimes be difficult because some people use Hindu names.

“He (non-Hindu employees) can use the name of Venkateswara Rao and still run the church? Can we identify them? About 40 to 50 such employees have been found and will be removed in the first phase,” he claimed, adding that the process is in progress.
