Chaplin’s 136th Anniversary of Birth

Warangal: Roja Art Creations marks the 136th anniversary of Silent-Film idol Charlie Chaplin in a cultural program held on Sunday at Venumadhav Kala Pranganam in Public Gardens.

The event’s lead guest was former government chief Whip and BRS regional president Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, who praised Chaplin’s rise from poverty to global stars through “universal laughter.” He highlights how Chaplin, who is silent on the screen, subtly conveys all nine Navarrasa dances through pantomime and gestures, and earns his name “King of Laughing.”

Vinay Bhaskar also praised Shyam, founder of Roja Art Creations and his team for maintaining the annual tribute, aiming to keep Chaplin’s legacy in the new generation. The show features dance performances by local children, each receiving souvenirs in recognition of their contribution to the celebration.
