Char Dham Yatra’s helicopter service is suspended

In view of the increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, the Char Dham Yatra helicopter service has been suspended immediately in Uttarakhand and effective immediately in Uttarakhand.

After the Delhi order, the helicopter service of Char Dham Yatra will be closed until further orders. The move will have a significant impact on pilgrims heading to Kedarnath.

On May 8, 2025, six people, including five women and the 60-year-old pilot, died and a private helicopter suffered serious injuries, headed to Gangotri Temple to crash near the Bhagirathi River in the Uttarakka region of Uttarakhand.
