Chennai-based Anicut Capital leads Rs 50 crore in Sedna, building a technology-driven B2B platform for the HORECA industry

Sedna Horeca, a business-to-business (B2B) platform for the hotel, restaurant and catering industry (Horeca) sector, has raised Rs 50 crore in a funding round led by Chennai-based Anicut Capital. These funds will be used to build India’s first Indian, technology-driven and comprehensive B2B solutions platform for the HORECA industry and expand into new markets.
Founded by Mahadevan Narayanamoni (Mahad) and Saurabh Pandey, Sedna has three vertical industries: B2B SaaS, Business & Distribution & Product & Solutions. Mahad and Saurabh earlier built and expanded Aknual in India’s largest technology-driven B2B hospital supply chain business.
SupplyNote, the most popular inventory management software and Billnote, is a fast-growing point-of-sale software for Indian restaurants and cafes, and is now part of Sedna in terms of B2B SaaS vertical.
VYAP is a growing supply distribution platform and supply link, Horeca’s innovative 3PL/4PL solution belonging to the Commerce & Distribution vertical industry. In terms of product and solution verticals, Sedna offers dedicated label solutions and provides ready-made cooking and ready-made food solutions for Horeca businesses, D2C brands, food courts and commercial kitchens.
“Anicut’s investment will expand our one-stop B2B solution to over 20 cities in the next 12 months,” said Saurabh Pandey, co-founder of Sedna. “With the increasing adoption of technology, the emergence of innovative business models, the emergence of national retail players and the launch of new food brands, it is the right time to build a comprehensive, technological B2B solution business for the HORECA industry that provides standardized products and solutions for the HORECA industry to consistent quality, availability, availability and cost,’’
