Chhattisgarh CM reviews Bastar’s security status – Karregutta OP

Reibull: Four days after a 21-day counterinsurgency campaign in the Karregutta Mountains on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited the recently set up CRPF camp in the area on Thursday in preparation for the security of Jawains and Boost Morale.

Mr Sai interacted with Jawans at the CRPF camp in Galgam, part of the just-concluded anti-Naxal operation at Karregutta Hill Range, known as the largest and most extensive counterinsurgency operation and praised their achievements.

Sources said the security battalion was opened a few days before the Karegutta anti-Naxal operation.

According to a state government spokesperson, “When we conduct search operations, we often face a variety of wildlife and other types of problems (not related to rebellion).

Karregutta’s anti-Naxal operation resulted in the killing of 31 Maoists and restored a large number of exquisite weapons, ammunition and destructive weapons, making the insurgents a factory.

Mr. Sai praised the Hawas for being brave and brave enough to hostile the climate and the difficult terrain of the region to launch an action against the Naxals and said: “A brave soldier like you is our greatest strength. Even in the hot 44-degree heat, your determination to act is inspiration for the whole state.”

Speaking at the camp, the Chief Minister further said: “I assure you that through your courage and our collective determination, we will lift Chhattisgarh from Naxalism by March 2026, as announced by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah”.

He said the upcoming struggle against Maoism will not be launched by just weapons and courage through education, employment and inclusive development.

He described Karregutta’s anti-Naxal operation as “more than just a military success.”

Mr Sai later visited several remote villages in the Bijapur region to address the problems faced by local tribal residents as part of his ongoing “Good Constancance Festival”, a flagship initiative aimed at garnering governance at the grassroots level and shutting down the implementation of public welfare schemes.
