Chhattisgarh won the state’s first tribal museum; CM Sai said tradition will be preserved

Reibull: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai opened the state’s first tribal museum in the Raipur region on Wednesday and said the facility will become a major hub for tourism and research, besides retaining tradition.

An magnificent and attractive tribal museum was built on about ten acres of land in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, the official statement said.

The museum not only retains the traditions, arts and culture of tribal society, but will also connect the younger generation to their roots and said at the inauguration that the museum will connect the younger generation to their roots.

The museum depicts the lifestyles, costumes, folk arts, customs and religious beliefs of various tribal communities in Chhattisgarh through visual and digital media.

It says Chhattisgarh has a special identity due to its diverse tribal culture.

Each tribal community has its own unique identity. The state has 43 tribal communities, which have many sub-coasts. In addition, especially vulnerable tribal groups also live in the state. Sai said the museum has 14 galleries, each built on a special theme.

State Tribal Development Minister Ramvichar Netam said people will get complete information about each tribal community living in Chhattisgarh, which lives under a rooftop of the Tribal Museum.

Congress spokesman Raman Singh also attended the meeting.
