Jagan Slams AP NDA regime used for demolition of Kasinayana Temple

Vijayawada: Former Chief Minister and YSRC President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stressed on Thursday that under the leadership of the NDA Joint Authority in Andhra Pradesh, Haindava Dharma slipped his lowest defeat under the leadership of the NDA League Authority in Andhra Pradesh, citing the removal of the sacred Kasinayana Kshetra.
The YSRC president recalled that despite the Centre’s order to stop the construction of Kasinayana Kshetra on August 7, 2023, the then-government led by him delayed the move initiated by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests.
Jagan said: “As Chief Minister, I wrote to the union minister Bhupendra Yadav on August 18 to exempt Kasinayana Kshetra from 12.98 hectares of land, as the state government will undoubtedly comply with all conditions. As the Centre succumbed to our request and fell into action during our five-year tenure. During our five-year tenure, it was a matter of religion.
The YSRC chief said the coalition government reversed that position within six months of taking office. “The state has seen bulldozers evacuate the famous temple under the supervision of the government and ordered by collectors overseen by RDO and directed by the Special Chief Secretary at the request of Deputy Chief Ministers K. Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu,” Jagan Mohan Mohan Reddy noted.
The former chief minister challenged the government to respond and present irrevocable evidence by dismantling the “barbaric attack” of Hindu Buddhism, labeled “arrogant power”.
Jagan accused the coalition government of hypocrisy, claiming they issued orders only, removed with their own hands, and then spin the story to cover up their actions. “In this regard, he cited other disputes in the current regime, including propaganda by Tirumala Laddu and the stampede in Tirumala.
Jagan said to the deputy chief minister in charge of forest department: “The advocate who calls himself Sanatana Dharma has not said the news of the demolition under his department. Does he have the right to speak on the Hindu Church?”
