Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said women in Andhra Pradesh will be able to travel on state-run APSRTC bus starting from August 15.
The free bus program is one of the “Super Six” commitments made by TDP in the 2024 elections.

Amid criticism of the government’s delay in implementing the highly acclaimed “Super Six” promise, Mr. Naidu announced a free bus ride plan on Saturday, visiting Kurnore to participate in the Swarna Andhra – Swachch Andhra program.
During his visit, Mr. Naidu visited the Rythu market in the training room C, in addition to laying stones for the park “Swarna Andhra -Swachcha Andhra”.
Mr Naidu said at the party while listing plans for his government and the upcoming plans: “We will implement the free bus trip to women’s program as soon as possible. We are considering launching on Independence Day.”
He said the government is keen on implementing welfare programs and attracting investment. “We will continue to expand the welfare scheme to qualified beneficiaries while attracting substantial investment. To date, we have brought 76 projects to the state. Rs 4.96 crore will be invested in the state, providing jobs and employment opportunities to 4.51 million people and opportunities to 4.51 million people,” he said.
Mr Naidu further stated that the government will fill the faculty positions through the DSC before the start of the school year.
“We will allocate Rs 15,000 to the account of mothers who send their mothers to school under Thaiki Vandanam’s plan before this school year,” the Chief Minister said.
He further said that the government will ensure that Annadata Sukhibhava is rewarding farmers’ agricultural products this year under the leadership of Annadata Sukhibhava.
Mr Naidu said that claiming the development of Rayalaseema is his responsibility, and he said the area will be transformed into a horticulture hub.
He added that the planting of 1.8 million hectares of Rayalaseema will expand to 3.6 million hectares in the next five years. “We have promoted 1.6 million acres of drip irrigation during the 2014-19 TDP government tenure, but the last administration also overlooked that,” he said.
Mr Naidu said a drone city will be built in Orvakal. He added that the completion of the Polavaram-Banakacherla project will be a game changer for Rayalaseema.
The Chief Minister said it was he in 1998 that Rythu Bazaars ensured fair prices for farmers and fresh vegetables at low costs in 1998.
“RTC buses have been deployed to transport farmers’ produce. This helps reduce the threat from the middlemen,” Mr Naidu said.
Minister of Industry TG Bharath, who accompanied the Chief Minister, said Mr Naidu promised to offer Rs 6 crore of Rs Rs Rs on C-camp. “The Chief Minister asked the officials to complete the works within one year. He also asked the officials to build an Anna cafeteria here,” Bharat said.
