Chief Minister vows to revitalize governance

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the development projects will be accelerated to adapt to changing times and governance. He reviewed development work in the Palakkad, Thrissur and Malappuram districts at a meeting here on Thursday, as part of the fourth anniversary celebration of the Left Democratic Party (LDF) government.

The Chief Minister said the gap between the government and the people has been reduced, making the problem resolved faster. He added that his government made people aware of their right to demand the government’s responsibility.

Mr Vijayan pointed out that the Government’s progress report is evidence of its excellence. Most promises have come true, and the rest will be fulfilled soon, he said.

He said the recommendations made at the last regional review meeting were derived. Since the last meeting, as many as 956 issues have been discussed and 151 issues have been resolved.

The Chief Minister asked government officials to focus the most important points such as the eradication of extreme poverty, life missions, Aardram, general education and garbage-free New Kerala.

The state has made significant progress in poverty reduction and is now expected to achieve a milestone in extreme poverty on November 1. Kerala currently has the lowest poverty rate.

Krishnankutty, Minister of Fisheries Saji Saji Cherian, Minister of Left Class or Minister of Higher Education R. Bindu, Minister of Health Veena George, Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak, other chief secretary, principal secretary, secretary of different departments, regional collectors, other officials from Malappuram, Thrissur, Thrissur and Palakkad participated in this post.
