China denies Ukraine’s allegations of providing weapons to Russia, calling it “political manipulation”

Beijing: After recent remarks by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused China of providing weapons and gunpowder to Russia, the Chinese Foreign Ministry reiterated its stance on the ongoing conflict and stressed that it had been calling for a ceasefire and a peaceful conversation, and expressed “a firm opposition to ground charges and political legacy and political control.” ”

When Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian was asked about Zelensky’s recent recent accusations of providing weapons and gunpowder to Russia and claiming that China also produces weapons on Russian territory, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said Friday: “China’s position on the Ukraine issue is consistent. The Chinese Foreign Ministry further pointed out that Ukraine itself has recognized the important role of Western countries, especially the United States, in providing military components to Russia.
Lin added: “Ukraine is well aware that most of Russia’s military components are from the United States and other Western countries. China is firmly opposed to baseless accusations and political manipulation.”

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed that Chinese citizens were actively involved in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, saying their participation was a “systematic Russian effort.”


Sharing a post on X, Zelenskyy wrote, “We continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the involvement of Chinese citizens in the Russian occupation forces. The Security Service of Ukraine is carrying out the necessary procedure actions with the PoWs recently captured in the Donetsk region.
