Piku’s Amitabh Bachchan’s character Bhaskor Banerjee is inspired by the superstar, Shoojit Sircar

Shoojit Sircar said he hopes to re-watch Piku, which will arrive on May 9, and his entire cast and crew will be in the movie, but he said he would miss the appearance of Irrfan Khan, who played a key role in the movie.
Director Shoojit Sircar said that one of Amitabh Bachchan’s most popular characters is Deepika Padukone starrer Piku’s Bhaskor Banerjee, which has traces of Utpal Dutt’s screen character. Piku plays Amitabh Bachchan, a 70-year-old widow father and Deepika Padukone, his tenacious daughter. They embarked on a road trip from Delhi to Kolkata. Irrfan Khan plays Rana Chaudhary, a taxi business owner who reluctantly agrees to drive his father duo.
Talking about the influence of the film and the character that inspired Amitabh Bachchan, Shoojit Sircar recently revealed: “A lot of people told me that it (piku) hrishikesh mukherjee and basu chatterjee type type the type the type the type the type the type the touch. We’ve been writing the movie when we wrote this movie. Like Utpal Dutt.”
Shoojit Sircar told PTI: “We hope Bhaskor Banerjee (Bachchan) is not a Utpal Dutt-ish character, but he has a character sketch of Utpal Dutt, who has been talking and has his own ideas. So it’s purely Bhaskor Banerjee.”
Interestingly, Utpal Dutt is a regular visitor in many of the movies of Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee, which are also known for capturing the daily family life in the movie.
Utpal Dutt is an Indian actor, director and writer who plays the role of the Indian actor, director and writer, whose career spans over 40 years, in which he has played over 100 films in Bengali and Hindi films. In August 1993, Utpal Dutt died of a heart attack and returned home from SSKM Hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal, where he underwent dialysis. He is 64 years old.
In other news, Shoojit Sircar recalls one of his favorite movies before the re-release of the theater’s tenth anniversary, saying he managed to make a simple movie with such a determined performance.
