CM Stalin launches Tamil Nadu electronic components manufacturing program

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin launched the Tamil Nadu Electronic Component Manufacturing Plan on Wednesday (30 April 2025) to promote electronic components production in the state.

Tamil Nadu is expected to attract investment worth Rs 30 billion and bring jobs to 60,000 people through the initiative, the official press release said.

To attract companies benefiting from the electronic components manufacturing scheme of the Alliance Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), the Tamil Nadu government will provide incentives that match the subsidies announced by the union government plan.

It created Tamil Nadu semiconductors and 2024 high-level electronics policy, which paved the way for the country to become a leader in electronics production, so the government said the Chief Minister launched this special plan to strengthen the state’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
