There is no scarcity of heroes in India. Anand Mahindra keeps reminding us. This time, he shared the story of Dr. Radhakrishnan Nair, Radhakrishnan Nair (also known as the Green Hero of India).
Dr. Nair obtained the architecture of the largest Miyawaki forest in Gujarat.

Dr. Nair is a pioneer in the Miyawaki movement
Dr. Nair is a long-time environmentalist, founder of Enviro Creators Foundates, known for starting the Miyawaki movement.
Miyawaki is a forest method named after the famous Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki.
This is a rapid afforestation technique designed to create dense and local forests in a short period of time. Below it, various indigenous tree species are closely planted in organic-rich soils – mimicking natural forest ecosystems.
Dr. Nair built his first Miyawaki forest in 2014 and has never looked back and has now created more than 100 such forests in several states across the country.
His most prominent achievement remains the Smritivan Miyawaki Forest (the largest of its kind) in Kuthat, Gujarat – covering 470 acres with over 300,000 local trees. It pays homage to the devastating victims of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake.
Dr. Nair has no plans to plant 10 billion trees between 2030 and 2030.
