AP Govt eases former beverage company MD Vasudeva Reddy

According to high-resource knowledge, Donthireddy Vasudeva Reddy, former managing director (MD) of Andhra Pradesh State Beverage Company Limited (APSBCL), has been freed from the service of the state government.

He was one of the main defendants in Andhra Pradesh’s major alcohol scams during his tenure as former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from 2019 to 2024.

Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (APCID) signed a case against Mr Vasudeva Reddy in respect of the alleged alcohol scam and investigated it.

Sources from the Secretariat confirmed that when the defendant disclosed all information during the investigation and worked with the investigative agency, the state government decided to remove IRTS officials from going to hold a report at its parent company, India Railways.
