Beijing: Senior Chinese Foreign Ministry official, head of Asian affairs, Liu Jinsen, with Indian ambassador in the India-Pakistan military conflict, and exchanged views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
Liu, the Chinese Foreign Minister of Asian Affairs, met with Ravat on Monday, the ministry said.
The short press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the two sides expressed their views on China’s relations and issues of widespread concern.
He said that this is what the international community hopes to see. He added that China supports and welcomes this latest development.
He said China hopes that India and Pakistan can consolidate and continue the ceasefire momentum.
The Indian Embassy in Beijing earlier warned the state-owned tabloid Global Times to verify the news was posted on social media.
