Chinese restaurants share images of the “Die and Dash” couple who desperately bid to escape after they eat without paying

A Chinese restaurant shared images of a couple who “dine and rinse” to track down the culprit.

The two, a man and a woman, were having dinner at Jade Palace Restaurant in Hamilton, Lanarkshire at about 3.45pm on Friday.

Instead of settled their label, the couple allegedly accelerated without paying their bills.

The restaurant caught the pair on CCTV and shared images of the duo in hopes of identifying them.

A restaurant owner contacted MailOnline and said they did not want to disclose the value of the meal because “it was more about the principle of the matter.”

The restaurant shares its emotional appeal in their Facebook days and on photos of the couple, urging them to step up and pay for their meals.

The appeal said: “We regret to say we have dining and dash. These customers run out of the restaurant without paying the bill.

“We thank the times are hard, but we are a small family business and we still have to pay bills, employees’ wages and stocks. Please do not take advantage of us or any other small business as this is simply unacceptable.

‘Luckily for us, some real people came forward and passed on their details. We also have CCTV footage.

“This is not the type of post we want to share, but we have a zero tolerance policy for the safety of our employees and small businesses.

“I hope you do the right thing and stand up or we will have to pass your details to the police and inform you of all restaurants with unpaid tactics.

“We ask you to share this article and if anyone has more information that might be helpful, please contact us privately.”

Restaurants are increasingly having to resort to posting footage of dining and dashboards to shame them.

Last month, a family of four dined and shattered at a Chinese restaurant in western London, causing anger among locals.

The event was held on March 23 at the popular restaurant Pangs Chinese in Uxbridge, where the family enjoyed a meal and then left without paying the bill.

Video shows two women and two young children leaving the restaurant as staff tried to stop them from leaving.

A separate clip shows two mothers and their children driving into a white car in the restaurant parking lot.

A waiter was seen approaching the car, but the women managed to speed up as they tried to talk to them.

The waiter chased the vehicle frantically, but quickly gave up.

Reporting the incident on Facebook, Pangs Chinese shared CCTV footage in an attempt to identify families.

The restaurant wrote in the title: “Dine and dash…it’s crazy.”

However, the Metropolitan reports that this seemed to be a happy ending, as it was an unexpected twist, with the mother of two women in the group coming to the restaurant to settle their daughter’s bills.

Pons Chinese said: “Just before the closure, I visited the mother of two ladies in the incident on March 23, 2025.

“She apologized for her two daughters’ behavior that almost made me run away without paying. She settled her bill and left.
