Hyderabad saw a vibrant display of Christian fellowship on Saturday as the “Jesus Campaign” rally brought participants from Telangana and other states together.
Between Good Friday and Easter each year, the event celebrates the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ by publicly displaying faith.
Starting at 6 a.m. on April 19, thousands of participants walked down the streets, motorcycles and vehicles, waving flags.
The rally was held in more than 600 locations including Greater Hyderabad, attracting a large crowd in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and even overseas.
The rally was initiated by Aradana TV in 2011 and evolved from 30 locations to fully community-owned initiatives accepted by the inter-diges church.
In Hyderabad, Cardinal Poola Anthony, Bishop K. Ruben Mark and Aradana TV Chairman Bro. Paul Devapriyam Pulla participated in the competition. Each local gathering ends with a worship meeting and a brief Easter message from the senior pastor.
