It was an unprecedented joy for the sheep winter community in the village of Nanavadi in the Bellagarve area of ​​Karnataka, as one of them cleared the civil service inspection conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Beerappa Siddappa Doni from Amuge village in Maharashtra is visiting his relatives on vacation in Nanavadi in the Bellagarve region. On April 23, his relatives heard that he had cleared the UPSC exam. They soon organized a celebration on the grassland where sheep grazing every day.

According to UPSC results announced on April 22, Beerappa won the 551st ranking.

Beerappa is named after the family god and is a B.Tech graduate. He wanted to join the Indian army like his brother. But for various reasons, he was unable to try the official recruitment exam. Instead, he found a job on India Post. However, he resigned a few years later and began preparing for the IAS inspection. He cleared the exam on his third attempt.

He hopes to join the Indian Police (IPS) based on his ranking and his opt-in on the exam application form.

His father, Siddappa Doni, didn’t know much about civil service exams. But he knew his third son was smart and diligent. “Our kind-hearted person told me that Beerappa will be a senior policeman. I believe he will be happy because he aspires to be an Army officer.”

His uncle Yallappa Gaddi stayed in Nanavadi and was glad that his nephew cleared the “highest inspection in the country”.

“We want him to be a good military officer and help poor people like us. His success will inspire other young men and women in our community to take such exams,” Gady said.
