Civilian rebellion in Pakistan? Citizens refuse to support the Parker Army in India – Watch | World News

Asim Munir Trouble? Following tensions between India and Pakistan, a videotape appeared in Islamabad, showing a videotape showing pilgrims refusing to support Pakistani forces when they refused to support Pakistani forces in the war with India. The incident, led by the famous Deobandi pastor Maulana Abdul Aziz Ghazi, sparked a heated debate on civil strife and disillusionment with the country's military institutions.

In a recent sermon, Maulana Abdul Aziz asked the congregation of Lal Masjid in Islamabad to raise his hands in support of Pakistan if war breaks out with India. No hand was raised. In a harsh condemnation of Pakistan’s military and ruling elite, the priest declared: “Pakistan oppresses India more than India. At least India has never bombed the Lal Mosque or Waziristan.”

His comments refer to Pakistan's own military operations – especially the siege of Lal Masjid in 2007 and repeated air strikes in Waziristan, an example of internal repression. He further highlighted the ongoing issue of compulsory disappearances, pointing to cases of Baloch, Pashtun, Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, religious priests and journalists who disappeared under the current regime.

This sentiment seems to be attracting attention, especially in tribal areas. In another incident with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, another Islamic missionary gave a fierce sermon denouncing the historical abuse of the Pashtuns by the Pakistani army.

“If India attacks Pakistan, Pashtus will stand with the Indian army,” he said. “They have committed so many atrocities on our Pashtun, do you think we would say 'Zindabad' for Pakistan?

These statements, while controversial, reflect broader civil dissatisfaction. Racial and political groups including Baloch and Pashtuns and supporters of PTI of former Prime Minister Imran Khan are increasingly challenging the authority of the Pakistani army. Many accused it of decades of oppression and acting as a representative of Western geopolitical interests.

Pakistan is concerned that Indian troops have attacked the deadly Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, with 26 people killed. Although India showed Pakistan's hand proof in the attack, Islamabad called for a third-party investigation into them.
