“The world can't afford it” India-Pakistan confrontation: United Nations

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed deep concern as India attacked nine locations within Pakistan’s territory across the Line of Control and international borders. The development prompted the United Nations to call on India and Pakistan to impose the largest military restrictions. “The Secretary-General is very concerned about Indian military operations across the Line of Control and international borders. He called for the greatest military restrictions on both countries. The world cannot afford military confrontation between India and Pakistan,” said in a press conference on Tuesday.
India announced earlier in the day that its armed forces had strikes at nine locations in Pakistan.
Indian armed forces launched a strike late Tuesday at horrific attractions in Pakistan-managed Kashmir and Punjab provinces, and a few days later, the gunmen killed 26 people (mainly Hindu tourists) in India-managed Kashmir. Pakistan confirmed the strike, reported the deaths of three civilians, including children, and said it would respond.

New Delhi said the operation targeted infrastructure related to the Pakistani group Lashkar-e-Taiba, designated by the United Nations as a terrorist organization.
