Foreign students facing difficult times in the United States

Vijayawada: Foreign students in the United States, including those from Andhra Pradesh, are facing a difficult task to find higher education there and find jobs there under President Donald Trump.

Immigration seeking education and employment bear the brunt as Trump began a series of steps in multiple departments during his second term.

Most students from the Associated Press encountered in the United States use bank loans to go there for higher education. They usually tend to work off-campus so that they can study at college and work hard to make money and repay loans.

But finding off-campus jobs has become a tough call after Trump took charge in January. This forces students to seek alternative sources of income to meet their daily expenses. Immigration students say things have changed dramatically.

The U.S. government, which intends to enforce strict immigration laws, is also examining students’ context in terms of activism and violations (if any) in colleges. These were used as simple excuses to expel them to their own family countries.

Some students enrolled in college failed to obtain off-campus jobs. They have no source of income, and some people don’t even have the money to buy air tickets to return to their country. They expect the U.S. government to arrange tickets and deport them.

It is recommended that some immigrant students and workers who plan to return to their hometown for vacation not take a vacation – because they are worried about the trouble of returning to the United States.

The U.S. government calls all immigrants who enter the U.S. law to become aliens until they become citizens. Those entering those without valid documents are considered illegal foreigners and their deportation is likely.

“Immigrants here are in a fear of getting stuck with their fellow citizens and facing deportation. They avoid any help to these people, assuming they may be in trouble with the U.S. government,” said a community leader in North America.

In addition, lawyers are hiring to resolve the issue legally to avoid any problems.

Some students with F1 visas don’t even use “optional practical training” to return home to the left and right to avoid possible problems of returning to the United States in a prevalent atmosphere.

Immigration with H1B visas also find it difficult to find a job during the gap period when going from one company to another after the contract period ends. They are also afraid of deportation.

People from the Associated Press settled there well, saying Trump has become so conservative in safeguarding the interests of Indigenous citizens that he has begun to impose containment on immigration. He believes that this will help indigenous citizens find jobs and therefore, it will reduce the pressure on the government to pay the unemployment rate to unemployment wages.

They also say that it may be unacceptable for people who come to the U.S. early after admission to certain universities and work off-campus to support themselves and return home.

Anand said: “Foreign students are facing a difficult study and work here. The Trump administration is more concerned about the influx of immigration. But the United States is still the people who intend to study and work, and they are still a dream destination.
