Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Joint Cabinet for approval of the 1332 crore Tirupati-Katpadi railway line compatibility.
In an article on X on Wednesday, Mr Naidu said the transformational initiative will connect sacred landmarks such as Tirupati Balaji Temple, Srikalahasti Siva Temple and Chandragiri Fort, while enhancing educational and medical hubs such as Vellore and Tirupati.
“This will promote the agricultural economy and accelerate growth in the electronics, cement and steel sectors in Andhra Pradesh. For the Chitel and Tirupati regions, this line will mark a new era of connectivity and progress,” he said.
