CM Rekha Gupta says

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Saturday that more than 28,000 elderly people aged 70 and older in Delhi were registered within a week in Ayushman Bharat Vaya Vandana Yojna. She said a mobile van was launched for registration under the health insurance scheme of RK Puram constituency, and she said the centre offered a cover of Rs 5 lakh and the Delhi government will make it the highest for an additional Rs 5 lakh.
The Chief Minister said more than 28,000 registrations have been made in the past five days since the launch of the program in Delhi on April 28.
Mobile vans will operate in each of the 70 parliamentary constituencies to register qualified seniors. Applicants only need to bring their Aadhaar card and mobile phone to register without anything else, she said.

“The Delhi government will ensure the registration of every qualified senior citizen in Delhi under this scheme because their blessings are valuable to us. VayaVandana is a unique program not only nationwide but throughout the world,” Gupta said.
During the launch of the mobile registered van, CM accompanied her cabinet colleague Manjinder Singh Sirsa and local MLA Anil Sharma, and also distributed Ayushman Health cards to some elderly beneficiaries to provide cashless treatment at designated hospitals in the city.
