CM Revanth, opposition leaders express shock and grief over the misfortune of the Hyderabad fire; officials urged swift measures

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed shock at the fire near Gulsa Houz, the old town of Hyderabad, and directed officials to take all necessary steps to rescue those trapped and provide medical assistance to the injured. At least 10 people were killed in the incident, and several others were injured on Sunday (May 18, 2025).

Mr Reddy directed police and fire departments to work quickly to save lives and to transfer the injured to the hospital. He also spoke with Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, suggesting that they monitor the relief efforts.
CM promises to do everything possible to rescue the trapped people and support the affected families. He ordered authorities to ensure better treatment is provided for injured injured and to monitor relief efforts closely.
Health Minister Damodar Raja Narsimha expressed grief over the incident and directed senior health officials to provide better treatment for the injured. A team of senior doctors is formed to provide ongoing medical care.

TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud begged for the loss of life, noting that the government will stand among the families of the deceased. Meanwhile, opposition leaders from the BJP and BRS expressed condolences to family members.
Karimnagar BJP MP and Home Secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar expressed his deepest condolences to the victims’ families and pledged his support.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) works in an article on X, “Extreme shock and pain! The old town Gulzar House Fire fire fire fire fire fire fire in detail. My heartfelt condolences. I am willing to give you a quick effort for those who are hurt. Need (sic).”
Senior BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao expressed grief over the incident, criticizing the government for its negligence in preventing fires. He asked for Rs 2.5 lakh of families of the murdered persons and urged the government to review its fire safety measures.
