CM Siddaramaiah says three civic agencies could replace BBMP

CM spoke with the media and said that the “Bangaluru Large-scale Governance Act” came into effect on May 15, and that Bangalore will be called “Greater Bangalore” in the future.
Thursday was also Deputy Deputy Prime Minister of CM DK Shivakumar, who also owns the Bangalore City Development Investment Portfolio.
Siddaramaiah added that he will chair the larger Bengaluru Authority (GBA) and that appropriate decisions related to the GBA will be made in the days ahead.
The two homes in the Legislature passed the Bangladesh Governance Act of 2024 in March, which aims to improve the quality of life of citizens by establishing a decentralized governance framework.
The Congressional regime passed the bill to overhaul the BBMP governance structure to better manage the affairs of the city. The bill proposed the GBA to oversee and coordinate the larger Bangalore region. The bill paved the way for the establishment of seven independent municipal municipal companies, replacing the clumsy BBMP and doubled the Bangalore municipal government.
