Dr. Ambedkar was born on April 14, 1891 in Mhow, the present-day Madhya Pradesh. He belonged to the Dalit family and experienced discrimination based on caste since childhood. Despite these challenges, he remained unpopular and chose education as a means to combat social injustice. He began his early education in Satara, Maharashtra, and later continued to study at Elphinstone High School in Mumbai.
Dr. Ambedkar’s outstanding academic achievements have earned him admissions from prestigious institutions such as Columbia University and the London School of Economics. As the first legal minister of independent India, he played a role in creating a constitution, embedding civil liberties, and advocated affirmative action to enhance marginalized communities.
